Recently we come across a internet rumor Samsung Galaxy Skin, which is said as “super slim”, bendable, Flexible Amoled Galaxy Slim to hit the market in Q2, 2012 (2nd Quarter).
As per the internet media, the specifications of Samsung Galaxy Skin are,
- Flexible 4″ AMOLED display
- 800×480 Resolution
- 1.2 GHz processor
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 MP rear camera
- VGA front camera
Though Samsung has given a demo of the 4.5″ bendable/flexible AMOLED Screen phones at CES’2011, but in actual, the news over the internet are just funny, and has nothing to do with reality.
When Samsung was questioned about the Galaxy Skin Phone, a high level Samsung representative replied to the T3 Magazine (UK), that it’s just a rumor which has spread over the internet it doesn’t exist anywhere apart from a university project being handled by a few designer students.
His wordings were,
It is a project that has been carried out by design students and is just a concept product. Samsung was not involved in the project. The students used the name Galaxy Skin and the Samsung logo in their concept to make it look more like a commercial product.
Let’s see when we could get such type of phones in our hand !
