How to Install Devanagari, Hindi and Marathi Fonts (Unicode) in Android Mobile Phones and Tablets ?

Google Android OS has become a must have operating system in the Mobile Phones and Tablet PCs.

Due to the high availability of services and apps on Android OS, many companies have come up with their Android Devices at a very less price (e.g. Akash Tablet – Starting from Rs.2500). But many of the devices doesn’t have the Devanagari Unicode fonts (e.g. Hindi and Marathi) installed on them, because of which we can’t read the Hindi/Marathi SMS (Text Messages) and Websites.

I have got a workaround for this. But to implement this workaround, you need to have a Rooted Android Device*, so that the respective files could be installed on it.

To simplify the process of Rooting the Android Device, you can install the Superuser or EasyRoot Application, and replace the existing font files with the attached ones.

Here are steps for the complete process,

1. Install ES File Explorer.

2. Now Open the ES File Explorer app > Settings > Tick on Root Explorer (to show the root files), also

3. Now Tick on Mount File System (to grant the read-write permissions to the file system root).

4. Thereafter Save the following files to your android device at location : /system/font/.
DroidHindi.ttf.
DroidSansFallback.ttf.

5. This process will ask you to replace the existing files, so please do this carefully.

6. Now Restart your Android Device, and try reading any Hindi/Marathi SMS and Website.

After using many mobile operating systems, I can say that there is no comparison to the Android Devices, whether Mobile Phones or Tablets.

Even Google’s operated Android Market is world’s 2nd largest App-Store. But some of the users aren’t able to access and download apps from the Android Market. When they try to do login onto the Android Market Website, the following error pops-up on their device screen :

“There are no Android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account.”

What is the problem ? : First of all let me clarify that, this problem is not from Google. However this error comes because our android devices are not listed on the Android Market Website.

Solution : To do so you need to add your device to the market website.

1. First of all you need to go to your Mobile Phone and Open Gmail App.

2. Now add a new Gmail account from which you want to access the Market Website.

3. When the new account setup gets completed, visit open Market App on your android Device.

4. Select new Gmail account from the options menu

5. Download 1 or 2 apps so that your device gets added to the Market website.

6. Now Sign-out from the computer and Re-Login after 2-3 hours. You will see that your device is there is My Market Account – Settings Page.

Solution for Joomla Strict Standards Error (After Installation) | Joomla 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3

Recently we have come across a problem, which is coming to the Joomla Developers. After installing Joomla on the localhost server, developers are getting the following error on all pages of their site.

Strict Standards: Static function JDatabase::test() should not be abstract in C:\xampp\htdocs\Joomla\libraries\joomla\database\database.php

Please follow the below steps in order to resolve this error :

1. Visit the localhost where you have installed the Joomla. Try loading the pages. On every page, you get the error like,

2. Then open the php.ini file, which is present in the php directory on your system. If you have installed XAMPP, then the location of php.ini file is “C:\xampp\php“.

3. Press CTRL+F to find error_reporting. First one is with the semi-colon (;) and second one is without the semi-colon.

4. Change that 2nd one to error_reporting = E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE

5. Set display_errors = off

6. Now go to your Control Panel of the XAMPP or WAMP. And restart the Apache Server.

Google Plus Friends Limit: You’ve reached the maximum number of people that can be in your circles at this time.

We are receiving number of emails from our users saying that they can’t add more people to their circles in Google Plus.
Whenever they are adding new people to the circle, the below message is displayed :

You’ve reached the maximum number of people that can be in your circles at this time.

Our support technicians have found that this happens due to the individual’s activeness for his Google+ account, but in total you can add only 5000 friends.

1. If the Individual has just created his account with Google+, then he can only add few hundred people to his circle in 1 day.

2. If he uses Google+ a lot and adds people to his circle on a daily basis, then there is a limit of 5000 friends.

So, when an active user has added 5000 people to his circle then this error message will be displayed to him, and he won’t be able to add more people to his circle.

If you have less than 5000 Friends in Google Plus, then limitation is for a couple of days, which will automatically get extended by looking at the activeness of that user. So, you need to wait for a couple of days, to add more friends.
